Google Play Music: Panorama Festival

Sculpting Sound: The Google Play Music Cube

In a high-speed collaboration with Jack Morton Worldwide, Tactic engineered 36 hours of generative and interactive visuals for Google Play Music at the 2016 Panorama Festival. The centerpiece of the three-day NYC event was a massive 30-foot cube that served as a living canvas for real-time graphics.

Tactic’s multidisciplinary team of artists and technicians had just three weeks to develop a custom visual language that evolved throughout the festival. The system was designed to react dynamically to live music, the time of day, and curated playlists, ensuring the cube’s aesthetic matched the shifting moods of the 90-band lineup across Roosevelt Island.
